Horses bewitched me from an early age, although I was approaching 30 years old before I bought my first horse Delilah. Thus began a journey of discovery: both of myself and of horses’ profound wisdom and spirit. In my work as an author, horse-led coach and therapist I endeavour to share the healing which they offer to us so generously.
You could find it helpful to work with me and the herd if you are facing change, emotional or relationship difficulties, career change, bereavement, trauma, illness, stress or anxiety. You might just feel like you are stuck, or lost, and want to find the way back to yourself.
As well as helping you to access your truth and purpose, working with horses is calming, joyful and you will remember it for a long time to come.
I qualified as a body psychotherapist and equine assisted therapist as well as a leadership coach and consultant. I am an advanced practitioner in natural horsemanship. My approach to all these things is embodied and recognises the importance of mind, body and spirit.
In 2004, when my mother was dying of cancer, I noticed the impact of my emotions on my horse Winston. I began to understand how intricately horses engage with us and how willing they are to help, if we are open to what they have to offer. From there I gradually evolved my embodied, horse-led approach to psychotherapy and learning and began practising in 2009. You can read about this journey in my book The Spell of the Horse.
As well as working therapeutically with individuals I work with organisations on change and leadership. You can read more about this work at www.equestlimited.co.uk.
I am based in a beautiful corner of North Western France, where I offer residential and non-residential retreats and transformational coaching. Find out more about my move and new facility on Our Home page
‘The ability of the horse to sense emotion, energy and spirit is beyond what most of the human world realises. This is why their impact on us can be so instant, so consistently positive, so transformational’
