22nd – 25th September 2023

Attuning energetically with the herd in their natural landscape, you are able to completely switch off, return to yourself, and see the life challenges you face in a new light. Whilst the group experience is shared, the spiritual dialogue which occurs with the horses is private, so although this is a group experience there is space for one-to-one time and your own inner exploration.
Check in/arrival is on Friday 22 September between 3 and 5pm. That evening a meal is provided and we have orientation and agree the menu and provisions needed for the rest of your stay. On Saturday morning we head off to a local market to buy provisions and groceries. All participants contribute equally to the budget, so you will need to have euros available in cash. After lunch on the Saturday we begin the group time with the horses. The detailed programme henceforth involves individual and group explorations with the herd, meditations, reflection time and opportunities to share experience. We structure the days according to the prevailing weather conditions, to make sure that you are working with the herd at a time which is most comfortable for you and them. We finish at 5pm on Monday 25th September, concluding the retreat with a celebratory meal together that evening. Check out is the following morning by 10.00 am.
No experience of horses is required, and no riding is involved. You are encouraged to bring a journal, your art materials if you like to draw or favourite meditation blanket, yoga mat or similar. All accommodation is on a shared kitchen/shared bathroom basis although never more than two people sharing a bathroom.
The group is maximum size of 4. We invite you to join in the community regime for the horse and human herd. For the horses this might include feeding, seasonal daily care required and paddock cleaning and for the human herd, laying table, clearing and washing dinner plates or picking produce from the vegetable beds.
To book a place please first check availability with me on pam@pambillinge.com and then write a short letter of introduction – about no more than a page long – outlining what draws you to come on the retreat and saying a little about what you would like to gain. Once accepted onto the retreat you will need to pay in full in order to confirm your place. This is refundable less a 20% administration fee should you cancel with more than four working weeks’ notice. In the unlikely event that the programme is cancelled by us for any reason, full refund is given. If you need to cancel at short notice for health security reasons your fee is transferable, but not refundable.
