Dates: 15 – 17 March 2018
Venue: Suddene Park, Burbage, Wilsthire, SN8 3DP.
This 3-day programme is suitable for therapists, psychotherapists and coaches who are interested in integrating horses into their work or who are simply curious about the healing spirit of the horse. You need to be confident around horses although no riding experience is required. Prior professional accreditation and supervised experience as a therapist, counsellor, psychotherapist or coach however is required.
The first day is spent experiencing and observing personal work with the horses, with Pam facilitating the process, individually and in pairs or small groups. Through the second day we begin to explore some of the principles and underpinning theory of embodied horse-led work in a therapeutic or coaching environment, backed up with continued experiential learning. On day three, we delve further into the role of the horse, how to read them during sessions, with further opportunity to observe, experience and practise facilitation of the learning process.
We conclude by exploring your own coaching or therapy practice and discussing how embodied horse-led work could be integrated into what you do.
The workshop is aimed at those who have a yearning to integrate horses into their professional work, and who don’t quite know where or how to start. It prepares you for the Practitioner Programme, which is focussed on offering you practitioner skills development in a safe setting.
To apply for a place on this programme please write a letter of introduction to me at firstname.lastname@example.org, including an overview of your professional qualifications and experience and of your relationship with horses. It is essential that you are able to self-support during this programme (it is not a therapy programme although will involve a personal process for you) and that you are in ongoing supervision.
The cost of the programme is £650.00. This includes all refreshments and a hot vegetarian lunch. Overnight accommodation is not included and details of local B&Bs will be circulated on booking. Camping is also available on site.
Payment in full is required to reserve a place. Refund given with more than one month’s notice of cancellation.
