Monday 22 June – Friday 26 June 2020
Findhorn Foundation, Forres, Scotland.
I am coming together again in 2020 with Lindsay Fovargue and Marja Kuijer to facilitate this week-long workshop which is hosted and held by the Findhorn Foundation, Forres in Scotland. We travel into the hills outside Forres to work with a small herd of horses, where views across the wild landscape take your breath away, whilst group sessions are held in the loving warmth of Cluny Hill.
Interaction between humans and equine(s) can be still, playful, gentle or dynamic. You will have an opportunity for one-to-one work with a horse (and two focalisers supporting). This can be deeply moving and transformative. As participant you may hold a particular question or focus, or none – the ‘work’ finds its own direction, through respectful, mindful interaction with the equines. It is deeply soulful, heart-opening work, which touches those watching as well as those participating. There are often tears and a great sense of connection and joy. The horses often bring peace and calm.
Throughout the workshop we will introduce physical and energy-based practices (such as meditations, mindfulness practices, movement, artwork) to support a deepening of connection, and assimilation of experiences.
As with all of my workshops this does not involved riding or horsemanship techniques.
The Findhorn Foundation community works in co-creation with the intelligence of nature and takes inspired action towards a vision of a better world. The community share their learning and way of life through experiential workshops, of which Horses Sense and Soul is one, and through conferences and events that take place within a thriving community and ecovillage. You will stay at Cluny Hill, a former stately Victorian residence, with its tranquil gardens and elegant communal dining room.
